In 2020 the Choctaw Nation Pottery Christmas ornament came out. I drew the original sketch. Then Judy Allen, Jamie Pritchard, and myself worked together to find the best way to present it. Judy and Jamie were amazing to work with, and it was fun to collaborate with them.
Navajo tribal member, Notah Begay is the only full-blooded Native American to become a professional golfer to play in the PGA. The Choctaw Nation awarded him with a turtle effigy bowl for his advanced work concerning the nutrition of Native American children.
The five civilized tribes met in Durant in 2024 and the five chiefs were gifted five Mobile Bay, Alabama pottery bowls by the Choctaw Nation.
I also added a gift of feathers from an eagle that lived on our farm. This eagle flew, hunted, and raised his young where the boundary of four tribes come together: Chickasaw, Seminole, Creek, and Choctaw. This eagle is a symbol of all tribes coming together to be unified as one family of people.
